The fruits & vegetable market, Mombasa’s old town and the old dhow harbor. The historic Portuguese fortress “Fort Jesus”, built by the Portuguese in 1593 as their military barracks, the famous elephant tusks on Moi Avenue, a Hindu Temple built since 1960 and finally the woodcarving co-operative society where over 3,000 woodcarvers working on Ebony wood, teak, Mahogany, rosewood, neem tree and soapstone can be seen.
